There corner statue, which represents Saint Peter in terracotta, is the work of Joseph Fabisch.

At the time of the construction of the building, the rue Paul-Chanevard (name of the painter) was only the rue Saint Pierre in memory of the old abbey which became the Palais des Beaux-Arts. This certainly explains the presence of the statue at the corner of the building.
