Welcome to the Brochier Silk Museum, a fascinating immersion into the intricacies of the history and innovation of Lyon silk.
Immerse yourself in a captivating journey through 130 years of heritage of an emblematic family of Lyon, the Brochier, whose saga begins in 1890. Explore the epic of four generations and nine members of this illustrious lineage, having shaped hundreds of thousands of meters of woven and printed silk, adorning the creations of the greatest names in haute couture and the arts of the last century.
Let yourself be enchanted by the grace of the creations of Christian Lacroix, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, James Galanos, Chanel and Christian Dior, magnified by the fabrics of Soieries Brochier. Admire the works of the great masters Miró, Calder and Cocteau, which bear witness to the special ties woven between the artists and the Brochier family.
Explore the pioneering spirit that led to the adaptation of the Jacquard loom for the creation of technical fabrics, from the finery for the Concorde to the equipment for the Radeau des Cimes, and the weather balloons of Venus. Also discover how silk is now combined with optical fiber, paving the way for the design of the fabrics of the future.
Beyond contemplation, the Brochier Silk Museum invites you to take part in weaving workshops, where the curious and passionate can learn the ancestral secrets of this noble art.
As soon as you are on the banks of the Rhône, let yourself be guided to 18 quai Jules Courmont, Lyon 2, where the museum doors are open to you every day of the week. Immerse yourself in this experience

- Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.,
- and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Entrance fees are set at
- 8€ for adults,
- 6€ for students
- and entry is free for children under 14.
Guided tours are also available for groups, upon prior reservation.
